FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
Do I need to know how to swim to take surf lessons?
The short answer is no, it's not entirely necessary to know how to swim to begin your surf journey. Our beginner surf lessons start out in shallow water (waist high), so you will always be able to stand up. Although there are risks we must take into consideration, we want you to feel safe in our instruction as certified lifeguards/surf instructors. Contact us for more information or to talk about your comfort levels in the water.
Am I too old/young to surf?
We say that surfing is for everybody. You may be surprised by what you are capable of. At Santari Surf we have had students from ages 5-80 who have successfully caught waves and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.
Can I bring my own board to the Surf & Stay package?
Yes, by all means! We provide soft-top surf boards for our lessons, but we always encourage you to use your preferred equipment.
Can we drink/smoke on the property?
No, our Surf House is a sober environment. You are free to do as you wish away from the house at your own risk. Be advised of our 10pm curfew, at which main doors will be locked (exceptions can be made).
What are the House Policies?
We want to make everyone feel safe and welcome, here are a few considerations we require our guests to make during your stay.

Can I drop my kids off and pick up after lesson?
No, we don't allow drop off/pick up. We appreciate you being present at the beach while your children are in class. You are welcome to relax in the hammock at our location while you wait.
Do you only teach women?
We strive to create an inclusive space for all - everybody is welcome no matter gender identity.
